We have an opportunity for someone looking to implement the designs and standards provided by our Cloud Architects and established by the Cloud Operations team as a whole. You will deploy, maintain, and update cloud platform infrastructure and services using repeatable templates/tools/processes, with a primary focus on the arenaflex Cloud Platform (GCP), within a DevSecOps structured team and methodology. Your responsibilities will include provisioning, maintaining, and updating cloud platform infrastructure and services, as well as associated monitoring and reporting, to achieve the project objectives, while serving as the primary infrastructure point of contact on such projects. Some of the day to day duties include: Participating in the planning, implementation, and growth of the Cloud infrastructure. Installing, configuring, automating, and monitoring various Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS). Working closely with the architects to recommend and design complete solutions that effectively reflect the business needs, security, and service level requirements. Supporting production issues and troubleshooting the arenaflex Cloud platform and services. Creating, implementing, and documenting a DevSecOps tool stack to build. Inspecting, deploying, testing, and promoting new or updated features, taking into account long-term road map and architecture goals. Setting up, configuring, documenting, and maintaining a continuous integration environment. Mentoring less experienced technical staff, assisting in the build out of internal Cloud expertise. Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance. Assist in-house teams with application/platform integration issues such as security/permissions, Service configuration, and network issues (name resolution, firewall port flows, and load balancing). Identify and resolve infrastructure issues that impact the application’s and hosting platform's functionality. Act as a Subject Matter Expert for internal infrastructure teams to support the adoption of GCP services and DevOps Best practices. Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and state seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. While all offers are compliant with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, there is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis. This is a skills-based job announcement. The required minimum qualifications and/or education (if substituting for the proven experience, knowledge, and skills), are as follows: Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a DevOps/System/Network Engineer automating infrastructure, deployment, network, configuration, or testing processes or comparable. This must include hands-on GCP experience. Experience developing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions with Terraform, allowing for the automated deployment of cloud based services preferably with the arenaflex cloud platform. Hands-on experience with Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Reproducibility, Traceability, Concurrent Development strategies. Knowledge of Linux or Windows systems administration. A working knowledge of DNS, firewalls, and load balancing solutions is required. A working knowledge of VPC networking to include IP-based routing, subnets, and CIDR ranges. Proficiency in Bash scripting for task automation and workflow optimization Substitutions: Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications. Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications. If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: arenaflex Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) arenaflex Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification (PCA) Git experience Cloud platform (GCP) infrastructure management experience Experience working in a consulting capacity, interacting directly with clients Working knowledge of Active Directory Conditions of Employment: OIT employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state entity locations where they might be required to perform work. This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.
