Operations support reporting to Head of Unit, ICT Operations, Innovation & Technology: Supports the day-to-day operation, security, and ensures reliability of the organization's ICT infrastructure, including hardware, systems, networks, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and ICT assets. Provides technical support and incident resolution, performs system maintenance (updates, patching, backups, user access and security controls), monitors risks and compliance, maintains documentation, supports ICT projects such as upgrades, migrations and disaster recovery, manages vendors and procurement, and assists with ICT planning, budgeting, and continuous improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / MAJOR TASK


  1. Manage and monitor daily ICT operations, which include all ICT infrastructure (hardware, systems, network, cybersecurity and telecommunication) and assets.
  2. Provide technical support, including troubleshooting and/ or escalating hardware, systems, and network problems, and incident resolution according to agreed service levels, either directly or in collaboration with vendors.
  3. Maintain ICT infrastructure and systems such as performing system updates, patching, deployment, backup and restoration, User ID management, security settings, and coordinating with vendors to carry out the same.
  4. Ensure security, compliance and risk control of all ICT infrastructure such as monitoring security threats and system vulnerabilities, and implementing and/ or enhancing security policies, procedures, and controls to comply with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  5. Document system configurations, enhance and/ or update ICT policies and procedures, incident reports, and other necessary documentation or reports.
  6. Carry out ICT projects such as system upgrades and migrations, and Disaster Recovery.
  7. Manage ICT vendors and contracts, and undertake all related procurement activities and payments.
  8. Assist with ICT infrastructure planning, including budgeting and suggesting improvements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling ICT operations, including cybersecurity, and carrying out ICT infrastructure planning.
  • Possess foundational certification on ITIL, Cybersecurity or other relevant professional or technical certifications.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in ICT infrastructure management (hardware, systems, network and cybersecurity).
  • Some experience in ICT infrastructure planning.
  • Familiar with AI concept, GenAI tools and prompts.
  • Poses critical thinking and problem resolution skills.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills (writing and speaking) in Bahasa Melayu and English.
  • Excellent time and priority management.
