<p>At Rockstar Games, we create world-class entertainment experiences. </p> <p>Become part of a team working on some of the most rewarding, large-scale creative projects to be found in any entertainment medium - all within an inclusive, highly-motivated environment where you can learn and collaborate with some of the most talented people in the industry. </p> <p>Rockstar is on the lookout for Associate QA Testers who are passionate, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, to join our internal Build Verification QA team.</p> <p>This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s state-of-the-art game development studio in Edinburgh, Scotland. </p> <h4><strong>WHAT WE DO</strong></h4> <ul> <li>The Rockstar Games Build Verification QA team supports development by ensuring the quality and timely release of internal game builds.</li> <li>We action comprehensive test plans ensuring everything is functioning correctly.</li> <li>We write prompt and concise bug reports, and provide all relevant supporting information.</li> <li>We work cohesively with Build and Development teams to ensure all bugs are handled promptly throughout the build lifecycle.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Test core game content and systems in a timely manner.</li> <li>Test additional tools or functionality as needed to support ongoing game development.</li> <li>Write accurate bug reports, triage of serious issues and report directly to other departments as necessary.</li> <li>Handle developing situations and respond promptly to new information, ensuring bug reports stay accurate and correct throughout the build cycle.</li> <li>Work efficiently and collaboratively to deliver complete test reports as quickly as possible.</li> <li>Hand work over to, and receive work from, other global test teams to ensure seamless coverage.</li> <li>Respond to ad-hoc or time-sensitive test requests alongside regular duties.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Good general PC knowledge, including experience with Microsoft Office suite.</li> <li>Competent gaming ability and a strong understanding of Rockstar titles, both singleplayer and multiplayer.</li> <li>Ability to work productively, collaboratively, and communicate effectively with people at all levels.</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail.</li> <li>The ability to multitask, prioritise, and work within strict time constraints.</li> <li>The ability to concisely communicate complex and nuanced information both in-person and through written reports.</li> <li>Knowledge of current generation games consoles and PCs.</li> <li>The ability to remain focused when approaching repetitive tasks.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>PLUSES</strong></h4> <p>Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.</p> <ul> <li>Previous industry experience not required but helpful.</li> <li>Familiarity with code editors or IDEs (eg.
