Position Overview:
Behavioral Assistants (BAs) provide in-home and community-based support services to youth with behavioral and emotional challenges, reinforcing clinical goals and promoting positive skill-building. BAs work under the supervision of licensed clinicians and play a key role in empowering youth and families toward long-term success.

Minimum Qualifications (per N.J.A.C. 10:77):

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • At least 21 years old

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a comparable setting, including:

    • Direct care in residential or outpatient behavioral health settings

    • Work with youth/families in community-based social service agencies

    • Experience with youth in school-based programs
