Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a box truck, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations during route driving and deliveries
  • Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed, ensuring proper handling of goods
  • Load deliveries accurately based on route plans and delivery schedules, verifying items against manifests or orders
  • Deliver products to customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism and providing excellent customer service
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and proper functioning of the truck
  • Maintain detailed records of deliveries, pickups, and mileage logs for compliance and reporting purposes
  • Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory or organizing stock when not on delivery routes

Experience

  • Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on route driving and load & unload operations
  • Proven ability to operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle with manual transmission
  • Experience with warehouse operations including heavy lifting, moving inventory, forklift operation, or pallet jack use is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving goods, and vehicle operation
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with route planning software or GPS navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency
