Responsibilities • Create a comprehensive compliance strategy and support business leaders in implementing that strategy • Provide leadership, strategy development and implementation, and guidance to UHC Employee & Individual (E&I) executive leadership team on compliance and regulatory issues • Oversee a team and work within a UHC Compliance d Services structure to implement an effective compliance program • Manage UHC Global compliance function to deliver an effective compliance program for non-U.S. regulated insurance and care delivery businesses • Develop and implement regulatory change management (RCM) strategies supporting E&I, C&S and select Enterprise functions • Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver an effective compliance program for state and federal regulated products • Influence, lead and collaborate within the highly matrixed Compliance team and with business partners across UHC, Optum and UHG • Drive and implement strategies and issue problem resolution across the E&I business • Establish and work with the accountable business owner to implement standard policies and procedures • Consult and coordinate with new business/sales/product development to determine all regulations pertaining to any products being offered • Lead business segment with strategic thinking and the ability to influence • Provide strategic leadership on and partner with legal, regulatory affairs, and privacy partners Requirements • 10+ years of experience working in a legal, healthcare, managed care and/or health insurance environment in a regulatory, privacy or compliance role • 10+ years of leadership experience with 5+ years of experience directly leading a team • 5+ years of experience leading and implementing a comprehensive compliance program • Ability to navigate a complex matrixed environment and drive to resolution • Healthcare insurance compliance knowledge • Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic vision and drive to improved and sustainable outcomes • Experience working with and influencing senior executives • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to build relationships cross-functionally with key stakeholders Nice-to-haves • Juris Doctor or MA/MBA • Experience with commercial health insurance lines of business • Solid verbal and written communication skills • Collaborative, accountable and agile team leader Benefits • Comprehensive benefits package • Incentive and recognition programs • Equity stock purchase • 401k contribution Apply tot his job
