Position Summary

The Color Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily color production operations. This role ensures accurate color formulation, batch consistency, production efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Color Production Lead serves as the primary technical resource for color matching, pigment dispersion, and formulation adjustments while leading production staff to meet customer specifications and delivery timelines. This position plays a critical role in protecting our clients' brand reputation by ensuring all products meet established quality standards before shipment.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and coordinate daily activities of color production team members.

· Assign work orders and prioritize production schedules to meet deadlines.

· Train, mentor, and develop production employees in proper mixing, tinting, and quality procedures.

· Oversee color matching, batch creation, and pigment adjustments.

· Ensure proper addition of hardeners, catalysts, pearls, and additives according to formulation standards.

· Troubleshoot color discrepancies and perform corrections as needed.

· Inspect finished batches for color accuracy, viscosity, texture, dispersion, and proper ratios.

· Monitor raw material levels and communicate inventory needs proactively.

· Enforce all safety policies and proper use of PPE.

· Maintain accurate production documentation and batch records.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· 3-5 years of experience in paint, coatings, or color production preferred.

· Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

· Strong understanding of pigment systems, pearls, additives, and catalyst systems.

· Ability to interpret formulation sheets and production documents.

· Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to stand for extended periods.

· Ability to work around chemicals and manufacturing equipment.

· Ability to wear required PPE including, safety Glasses, respirators, gloves, and safety footwear.

· Reduction in batch errors and rework.

· On-time production completion.

· Reduction in color-related customer complaints.

· Effective inventory management.

· Compliance with all safety standards.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
