Offshore Construction Mechanical Foreman

is currently seeking a highly experienced
Construction Mechanical Foreman
for a high-profile offshore project in
Brazil
. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in overseeing mechanical construction, installation, and pre-commissioning activities specifically on
FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading)
units.

Technical Expertise & Experience

  • Offshore/FPSO Mastery:
    Extensive experience in mechanical construction and assembly on offshore platforms, with a mandatory focus on
    FPSO
    units.
  • Leadership:
    Proven ability to lead and supervise teams of mechanical technicians, fitters, and welders in a fast-paced offshore environment.
  • Rotating & Static Equipment:
    Deep knowledge of the installation, alignment, and leveling of heavy rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines) and static equipment (vessels, heat exchangers, skids).
  • Piping & Structural:
    Expertise in piping fit-up, support installation, and coordination with welding and NDT teams.
  • Technical Literacy:
    Expert ability to interpret P&IDs, Isometrics, General Arrangement drawings, and Equipment Datasheets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision:
    Oversee daily mechanical construction activities, ensuring all work is performed according to project drawings and quality standards.
  • Safety Leadership:
    Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards, PTW (Permit to Work) systems, and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) protocols.
  • Punch List Management:
    Drive the identification and closure of mechanical punch lists to ensure timely handover.
  • Resource Coordination:
    Manage tools, materials, and manpower to meet project milestones.
  • Reporting:
    Interface with the Construction Manager and QC Inspectors to provide daily progress reports and documentation.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Language:
    Fluent in English
    (Mandatory). Must be able to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary international teams and write technical reports.
  • Certifications:
    Candidates must hold valid
    BOSIET/HUET
    and/or
    SID (Seafarer's Identity Document) Card
    .
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5-8 years in offshore mechanical construction, specifically on FPSO projects.

  • Start Date ASAP
  • Location Offshore – Brazil (FPSO)
  • Rotation
    45 days ON / 45 days OFF
  • Working Schedule
    12 hours/day, 7 days/week
  • Contract Type
    6 months + 6 months extendable
