Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented Construction Site Supervisor to oversee our ongoing and upcoming projects within Wajir County. This pivotal role requires an individual with a strong background in civil engineering or construction management, coupled with practical, hands-on experience in managing site operations from inception to completion. As a Site Supervisor, you will be the cornerstone of our on-site team, responsible for ensuring that all construction activities adhere to project specifications, safety regulations, budget constraints, and established timelines. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Oversee daily operations, including scheduling of workers, allocation of tasks, and coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections.
  • Conduct quality control checks on materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and company standards.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, manage site logistics, and maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all site-related communications, liaising with project managers, engineers, and local authorities.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Address and resolve any site-related issues or conflicts efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources and minimize waste on site.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or similar role
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
