About the role We're looking for a mid-senior Copywriter to join Uphold's Content Team and help shape how millions of people experience crypto, digital assets, and modern finance. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for a confident writer who can think creatively and operate responsibly in a regulated environment. Crypto experience is a plus - but we're equally open to talented writers from adjacent industries (fintech, finance, SaaS, consumer tech) who can demonstrate strong judgment, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly. You'll be working in a small but busy content team (Director of Content + Senior Copywriter), serving primarily the US market, and collaborating closely with CRM, performance marketing, product marketing, and social. You'll be expected to adapt quickly to Uphold's tone of voice and senior leadership preferences, and to work efficiently within established processes and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence). Strong ownership and communication are critical in this role. You'll manage your work proactively - keeping documentation up to date, leaving clear comments, following up where needed, and treating each project with care from first draft through to final handoff. Crypto marketing comes with strict compliance and language requirements. We're looking for someone who understands those constraints and knows how to think creatively within them to deliver clear, compelling messaging and strong content ideas. If you're proactive, low-ego, comfortable owning projects end-to-end, and excited by fast-moving products and ideas - this role is for you. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Write and ship copy across core marketing channels Produce clear, compliant marketing copy across CRM (email, push, in-app), website, paid media, social, blogs, newsletters, and product launches Own long-form content including SEO blog post creation and editing, landing pages and key product narratives Write and optimise in-app modules, banners, and UI-adjacent copy that supports activation and usage CRM & lifecycle marketing Write and personalise email, push, and in-app content for defined customer segments, aligned to clear KPIs (activation, engagement, conversion) Collaborate closely with CRM and performance teams to test, iterate, and improve messaging copy over time Messaging, voice & quality Quickly adapt to and evolve Uphold's tone of voice and strategic messaging in partnership with Director of Content and marketing leaders Ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance across all customer touchpoints Edit, fact-check, and quality-check copy to a high standard, especially for regulated and crypto-specific messaging Campaigns & collaboration Collaborate with senior marketers to develop campaign and communications materials across social, newsletters, FAQs, and product updates Work in small, cross-functional "pods" within the marketing team, owning projects end-to-end from initial concept and brief through execution and iteration Support video and visual-first content through scripting and messaging frameworks Creative ideation & ownership Proactively generate creative ideas, messaging angles, and campaign concepts grounded in customer insight, performance data, and market context - where possible.
