BASIC PURPOSE:
The Delivered-In Fuel Marketer is responsible for selling diesel and gasoline directly to end-user customers at their sites, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction while driving sales growth.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and target new business opportunities to expand the customer base for delivered-in fuel.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities relevant to the fuel market.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing tailored product recommendations.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to assess their needs and introduce new products and promotions.

Product Expertise

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s fuel offerings, including diesel and gasoline.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and applications, assisting them in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, emerging technologies, and new fuel products.

Sales Reporting and Administration

  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and territory plans to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using CRM software.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete operational tasks as necessary to meet customer demands effectively.
  • Deliver fuel products directly to customers as needed.
  • Assist in inventory management to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in petroleum, refining, wholesale, or trading.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledgeable in SolArc Right
    • Soft Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, team-oriented, effective problem solver/critical thinker, keen attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
    • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
    • Travel requirements as needed
    • Available 24/7, 365 days a year
