Position Overview: The Deputy Director, Jobs Operations is responsible for providing operational support to the National Jobs program. The Deputy Director is responsible for supporting quality assurance within the Jobs program. They work to ensure that all contractual agreements for the National jobs program are properly executed, tracked, and reported with the funding agencies.  They serve as the point of contact for all contractors, manage all timelines for reporting to contractors/ partners in the National program, ensure program operation compliance, assist in resource development and may assist with employment consultant responsibilities.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Strong project/time management skills - including planning, analysis, attention to detail, and problem solving - and willingness to multitask
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with Set-Works and Salesforce, preferred
  • Initiative, dependability, drive for results, and self-assessment skills
  • Must be adaptable and able to develop and balance multiple relationships, and get results from a variety of people quickly and effectively
  • Ability to effectively gain information and insight through questioning/probing and observation of staff in the field, analyze information, and compile reports
  • Must be comfortable engaging with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and working with them in a supporting role
  • Must be comfortable with occasional travel, use personal cell phone, and work evenings and weekends as necessary to accomplish job responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Employment is contingent upon accreditation by governing state agency 

 

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

 

Operations

  • Manage contractual agreements with MedWaiver and Vocational Rehabilitation including trainings and file management 
  • Set and manage timelines for National Jobs team regarding contractual obligations
  • Serve as lead for all contractual audits: conduct all preparations for audits, communicate with auditors, coordinate information from the Jobs team 
  • Manage online database, SetWorks as well as Salesforce
  • Conduct reviews of case files for national Jobs staff to ensure completion 
  • Monitor financial benchmarks with programs staff to ensure financial stability of program
  • Support Jobs team with CARF accreditation operations and strategic goals as needed
    • Conduct training and assist with onboarding of new employment consultants as directed 


 

Programs

  • Develop relationships with relevant community and government agencies 
  • Support the Director, Jobs with the overall jobs program strategy, including setting qualitative and quantitative goals targeted toward national, regional, and local areas, assisting with multiple monthly calls with Jobs teams, and maintaining data to track goal progress monthly
  • Stay up to date with supported employment guidelines and trends in current Jobs program markets and at a national level
  • Assist the Director, Jobs Operations with the maintenance and dissemination of Jobs resources and utilize feedback from Jobs program staff to develop additional resources, as needed
  • Attend trainings as needed to maintain required certifications per state regulating agency

 


 Fund Development

  • Maintain data on employer engagement in signature fundraising events
  • Assist with any grant reporting, as needed
  • Track and analyze data to assess the growth potential of current and prospective donors and partners across multiple markets.
     
     

Marketing

  • Support with generation of material for and tracking of nation-wide activations for Best Buddies Day/Month activities and NDEAM
  • Contributes content and images for updates to Best Buddies Jobs website
