POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides dedicated support to the assigned executive by ensuring safe, punctual, and reliable transportation for daily commutes, business meetings, and outstation travel. In addition to driving responsibilities, the role involves managing vehicle care and compliance, running errands, and assisting with personal tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role ensures the executive can focus on business priorities by providing safe transportation, discreet support, and dependable assistance.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safely drive company executives for appointments, meetings, or outstation trips as required.
  • Ensure punctual daily pick-up from residence to office and to other destinations as instructed.
  • Perform additional errands such as collecting and delivering items or running family-related tasks when directed.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in excellent condition at all times—clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety requirements.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and arrange for regular servicing and repairs when necessary.
  • Monitor and ensure timely renewal of road tax, insurance, and maintain the validity of the driver’s license at all times.
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Report any vehicle problems or defects immediately to ensure prompt rectification.
  • Strictly observe all traffic rules, regulations, and prescribed speed limits by the Road Transport Department of Malaysia.
  • Safeguard the personal safety and security of passengers and vehicle. Maintain confidentiality of information obtained in the course of duties.
  • Be punctual, reliable, and available to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and outstation assignments when required.
  • Carry out, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities which are reasonably compatible with this job description and objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a personal or corporate driver.
  • Valid Malaysian driving license (Class D) with a clean driving record.
  • No disciplinary issues, criminal records, or serious traffic offences.
  • Familiar with routes in Penang (island and mainland) and Selangor.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and outstation travel.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to follow instructions and handle tasks efficiently while exercising initiative when appropriate.
  • Pleasant personality, respectful attitude, and professional appearance.
  • Good communication skills, able to understand instructions clearly and execute tasks promptly.
  • Highly punctual with a strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • Physically fit and able to manage long hours of driving.
