The primary purpose of the Field Applications Specialist is to support CDG sales, marketing and operations teams in pre-sales presentations, demonstrations and post-sales support to SEA distributors and direct customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact:

 

Application Training and Support

  • Resolve complicated application issues resulting from customer usage or demonstration equipment and assist Customers, FSE and AMs to maintain customer satisfaction and sales opportunities in a professional manner.
  • Have a logical systematic approach to troubleshoot issues for the system and share findings among team members.
  • Work with team to develop training modules to increase competencies of internal and external customers to align with business direction.
  • Plan and conduct relevant technical and product training for Sales and Channel Partners to increase enablement.
  • Conduct installation and connectivity for QC data management for CDG instruments

 Customer Focus

  • Conduct pre-sales demonstrations/evaluations and provide critical and trusted feedback on further needs at customer site as part of the sales process and ensure the evaluation meets customer and business needs.
  • Work with Engineers, Sales, Techsupport and other supporting functions within the organization to address customer’s applications concerns.
  • Ensure support on regulatory requirements and manage customer complaints.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer feedback to improve customer satisfaction.

 Administration

  • Maintain technical and training files/procedures in relevant areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure all demonstration units for application training are properly accounted for.
  • Work with CTS to ensure all troubleshooting cases are recorded and filed appropriately.
  • Conduct system installations and training and ensure all documents are signed and accounted for sales recognition.
  • Maintain daily activities record in customer relationship management ServiceMax in SFDC.
  • Track and maintain activities and inventory in the SEA Training Lab.

Self-Development

  • Implement Performance Management Plan and Individual Development Plan.
  • Build specific soft skills and product competencies as required
  • Maintain a positive mindset with consistently strive to be a better version of yourself.

What You Bring

 

Education

  • Minimum Diploma in Biology, Medical technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related
  • MSc in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Applied Sciences, Biomedical Science is Preferable

Experience

  • More than 3 years working experience in Clinical Diagnostics, Clinical laboratory, Blood banking, Medical Tech and/or related industry is essential.
  • 1-2 years as a commercial field support/application/trainer position in the relevant field are an advantage
  • Experience in Connectivity and Quality Management Systems is preferred and an advantage
