What you'll do... Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066 Duties: Improve Walmart Marketplace Marketing's success metrics, CVR (Conversion rate), and ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) by analyzing campaign performance across various marketing paid channels. Build and design AOP (Annual Operations Plan) for Marketplace for KPIs like GMV (Gross Merchandi ... se Value), AOV (Average Order Value), Traffic, CVR, and Orders. Design and measure A/B tests across various SEM and DPS campaigns to understand the lift in traffic and RPV generated by various initiatives leading to data driven budget allocation across paid channels. Build predictive machine learning frameworks to understand customer behavior using algorithms like linear regression and logistic regression to predict future daily trends of KPIs such as GMV, CVR, and AOV. Leverage SQL language in platforms such as BigQuery, Hive, Presto, and Hadoop to determine, formulate, and track business objectives/performance metrics that require statistical analysis. Inform marketing strategies and business development opportunities by identifying issues, hypotheses testing, executing the analysis, and translating data into meaningful insights and actions. Understand the business case questions that will help marketers to better target audiences for their digital marketing campaigns. Implement root cause analysis of variations in performance for different categories and channel. Guide projects to ensure delivery of assigned insights analyses with end-to-end ownership, clear communication, detailed project plans, and operational processes that drive visibility and accountability with Marketing & Analytics stakeholders. Identify gaps and opportunities for improving existing data sources and engage with broader Walmart teams to acquire and summarize these sources within the Walmart Marketplace environment. Provide management level visibility through weekly updates on key initiatives and KPIs for the team. Monitor fluctuations in key customer metrics (CVR, orders placed) by understanding the root cause and business-based explanations for large scale trends and patterns in customer lifecycle behavior. This position does not supervise other employees. Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field. Skills required: Experience writing optimized SQL query in Hadoop, BigQuery, and Dataproc platforms for Data mining, ETL process, and synthesis of large Structured/Unstructured data. Experience mining, analyzing, and interpreting data through various statistical techniques including univariate analysis, bivariate analysis, and correlation. Experience creating data visualization using business intelligence tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Adobe Analytics. Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language for data transformation. Experience developing and presenting strategic, action-oriented oral and written communication by providing recommendations from complex analytics to executive audience. Experience building classification machine learning algorithms including Linear regression, random forest, and XGBoost. Experience using Advanced Excel for manipulating, analyzing, and presenting data using functions including VLOOKUP, index, match, and Sumifs. Experience creating efficient decks using Microsoft Power point to create appropriate business cases illustrating customer behavior, sales trend, and opportunities to make better decisions within retail media. Experience documenting codes, methodologies, and projects using Github, Confluence, and Sharepoint. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. Salary Range: $109,810/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.  Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
