Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure fresh, high-quality offerings
  • Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Support food preparation activities, including chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients
  • Serve meals efficiently to customers or staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
  • Follow proper food handling procedures during meal preparation and catering events

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or the food industry is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols
  • Strong knife skills and ability to handle various kitchen tools confidently
  • Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
  • Knowledge of food handling regulations and food safety standards
  • Restaurant or culinary experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
