<p><strong>Westerneast Communication Services </strong> are looking for a competent Interpreter to provide assistance to non-English speakers across a range of activities. The Interpreter will provide interpretation services during various processes, and make sight translations of documents. You will provide accurate concepts and explanations with no additions or omissions, and according to conventions of established interpretation protocol. You will identify factors that hinder your performance as an Interpreter, and swiftly report these to relevant parties.</p><p>To ensure success you need to process and impart information swiftly, and relay intentions, emotions and tone in your interpretations. Preferred applicants have outstanding problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.</p><h3>Interpreter Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Acting as Interpreter between a wide range of people with diverse voices, accents, speaking tempos and personalities.</li><li>Providing parties with clear and exact translations of written materials, and interpretations of verbal communication.</li><li>Providing interpretations of questions, answers, statements, arguments, explanations and other forms of verbal communication.</li><li>Rendering sight translations of documents and other written materials.</li><li>Imparting thought, purpose, spirit, emotions and tone of speakers from source language into target language.</li><li>Interpreting with no additions or omissions.</li><li>Informing relevant parties of factors that may hinder your performance.</li><li>Completion of daily activity logs and other documentation.</li><li>Complying with applicable ethics and standards.</li></ul><h3>Interpreter Requirements:</h3><ol><li>Must be fluent in English and Native on target language/s, CEFR level “C1, C2, B2 only”</li><li>Minimum one year of experience in telephone interpretation</li><li>Must be available to work at a minimum of 5 logged hours during the work hours of the chosen time zone (US and UK)</li><li>Ability to professionally communicate with various diverse backgrounds and cultures</li><li>Good computers with dual core, 2GHZ processor such as Intel Core i3 or higher</li><li>RAM memory with 4 GB</li><li>USB Headsets are a MUST (Wireless headsets or earphones are not allowed)</li><li>Good internet connection with minimum speed of 4 MB for download and upload</li><li>Computer must work on Ethernet. Wireless internet is not allowed as clients’ system detect this</li><li>Computer must work with power adapter plugged in. Don’t work using a battery.</li><li>Talents should accept a free test of 15-20 min</li><li>Talents will be paid according to talk time (average talk time per hour is 45 min.) but we need talents to be available for minimum of 5 hrs.</li><li>We offer high occupancy and utilization percentage for talents during the 5 hrs. of availability (80% utilization rate)</li><li>No minimum charge is accepted</li><li>Talents should provide a photo of their workstation (speakers, power adapter plugged in, Ethernet cable plugged in)</li></ol>
