We are seeking a Spanish speaking individual who is passionate, talented, and has at least 2 - 3 years or more of immigration law experience. This individual should have the capacity to manage an array of cases and tasks including but not limited to EOIR court cases, USCIS Family immigration cases, writing - motions, I601 waivers, case management, and legal research.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 
Include but are not limited to: 

  • Manage a caseload independently of 150-200 files efficiently 
  • Communicate with clients to explain process and requirements 
  • Collect relevant information and documents to support applications from clients  
  • Manage and meet client and task deadlines  
  • Review & analyze for eligibility and inadmissibility bars for cases assigned  
  • Efficiently communicate with supervisor & Attorneys regarding potential issues
  • Experience in drafting RFE/Appeal cover letters for attorneys
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines promptly and efficiently
  • Capability to compare ECAS calendar with other internal calendars
  • Familiarity with EOIR Practice Manual and local court standing orders
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while recognizing when attorney guidance is required  
  • Accurate prepare filing applications with supporting documents  
  • Provide detail notes in office case management system  
  • Keep assigned files and electronic record organized  
  • Keep up to date with new/updates with immigration laws and forms instructions  
  • Efficiently maintain Calendar and utilize proper time management  
  • Translations documents and Interpretation as needed  
  • Support our reception team as needed  
CASE MANAGER / PARALEGAL QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Must Speak, read, and write Spanish proficiently  
  • Over 3 years of experience in immigration, knowledge of terminology & processes  
  • Ability to problem solve and take initiative  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and Customer service   
  • Able to prioritize and organize  
  • Attention to detail  
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, internet proficient 
  • Ability and hand dexterity to type at least 45 wpm  
  • Ability to occasionally lift large case files of an excess weight of 25 Lbs.  
  • Ability to arrive punctually from Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM  
  • Work one (1) Saturday per month  
  • Other case management related tasks to assist office as a team player 
  • Knowledge navigating the ECAS system and MyUSCIS   
  • College Degree Preferred  

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25- $33 per hour (Salary varies based on experience, certification, and education)
