How you will create an impact This role will focus on leading and underwriting the Fac RI business - both Group & Individual A&H. Undertake renewal reviews of in-force policies, meeting timelines agreed with the intermediaries and proactive follow-up. You will be responsible for assessing the desirability of risk through regular contact with brokers, close co-ordination with subject matter experts and robust reviews of claims history and general company information. Your relationships with brokers will be key to your success. You will need to provide excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting. You will also aim to generate new business by expanding your broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market – in line with a sales plan established with your manager. Another key aspect of the role is the provision of accurate monthly management information including submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium. Develop and grow the channel of distribution assigned to achieve both the top and bottom line targets for New Business and Renewal Business. Optimize strike rates and meeting service levels. Collaborate closely with and build excellent business relationships with internal stakeholders and key business partners and intermediaries through regular visitations and engagement. Any other activities and projects assigned by superiors. What you’ll need to succeed Extensive experience in Fac RI underwriting and proven success in managing Fac RI business in the A&H space. Strong communication, networking and relationship building skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Customer and Sales orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable. Candidates with Group Accident & Health business development/underwriting/product development experience will have added advantage. Resourceful person with strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, analytical, attention to detail and multitasking skills.
