The Impact You Will Have


In this position, you will be responsible for managing all premium billing activities for all market segments. This includes; invoice generation, accounts payable, delinquency management, credit and collection management, and credit card payment management. You will be accountable for ensuring accurate and timely workflows and compliance with financial policies, procedures and controls. You will be responsible for implementing department specific strategies to enhance customer/member experience and improve operational effectiveness. You will provide leadership, guidance and opportunities for growth for the team of associates in the department.
 

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide primary oversight for all billing related activities for all market segments, which includes invoice generation, accounts payable, delinquency management, credit and collections management and credit card payment oversight.

  • Collaborate with internal partners and external customers to recommend, develop and implement billing and reconciliation improvement strategies related to premium billing.

  • Ensure the system of internal accounting controls are in place and functioning as designed for each area of accountability.

  • Directs the department including interviewing and hiring employees following required EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines and ensuring employees receive the proper training.

  • Conducts performance evaluation, and is responsible for managing employees, including skill and career development, policy administration, coaching on performance management and behavior, employee relations and cost control.

  • Manage staff assignments to ensure effective allocation of resources, and provide opportunity for career development.

  • Promotes and ensures the success in an environment where individual initiative and teamwork are valued.

  • Proactively communicates with and advise key leadership regarding process improvements and ongoing initiatives.

  • Maintains adequate communication regarding project status, risks, issues and priorities with leadership business and project team.

  • Provide the framework for establishing department goals.

  • Promote the achievement of goals through continuous process improvement using cost management, work methodologies, forecasting and performance standards.

  • Maintain performance metrics, controls, and continuous improvement practices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.

  • 1 year staff, team lead or project lead experience

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others.

  • Advanced interpersonal skills, communication skills (verbal, written and listening), facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience with Billing, Finance, and/or Operations.

  • Experience in leading teams through change.

  • Insurance or health plan experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $90,800.00 - $120,300.00 - $149,800.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.

Our hybrid approach is designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person connection and collaboration. We come together in the office two days each week – most teams designate at least one anchor day to ensure team interaction. These in-person moments foster relationships, creativity, and alignment. The rest of the week you are empowered to work remote.
