<p>The NPI Warehouse team supports the handling of sensitive prototype materials in all aspects, purchased and used by the full NPI department to accelerate how quickly Tesla can bring innovative concepts to our customers around the world.  </p><p> </p><p>The NPI Warehouse Technician is a specialized material handler responsible for managing low volume prototypes intended for specialized engineering trials with a heightened degree of confidentiality due to the sensitivity of new programs. The NPI Warehouse Technician collaborates with many cross-functional department leaders for scheduling of material arrivals, systematic receiving, transaction accuracy, transporting, storing, retrieving, preparing, and delivering correct materials in accordance with the desired build plans. NPI Warehouse Technicians are proficient in multiple job functions with a heightened responsibility of accurately identifying unique trial parts that arrive through irregular processes. Must be self-driven, system literate, and comfortable with investigating non-compliance in a complex and dynamic work environment.  </p><p> </p><p>This person is expected to prepare prototype materials by completing pull lists in a timely manner to support trial builds while driving continuous improvements to ensure operations are safe, efficient, and optimal. This person will be expected to transport materials (Raw, Finished Goods, and Recycling) to final point of use using a variety of mobile equipment and systematic computer methods. Additional rework may be required, so the NPI Warehouse Technician must quickly identify parts to be taken out of inventory for further testing by the engineers. Computer proficiency and interface (input/output) will be required.
