Job Title: CNA / Caregiver – On-Call In-Home Care

Job Description

Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants and caregivers to join our team in an on-call role providing non-medical, in-home care. This position supports seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities by helping them remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

This role is ideal for caregivers who are flexible and willing to step in when coverage is needed for scheduled shifts, call-offs, or urgent care needs.

Care is provided directly in clients’ homes and requires traveling between client locations in the Idaho Falls area.

Availability Requirement

Caregivers in this role must be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM to accept on-call assignments when coverage is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Support mobility and safe transfers
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Prepare simple meals and assist with light housekeeping
  • Provide medication reminders according to care plans
  • Monitor and report changes in client condition
  • Follow individualized care plans and safety procedures

Work Environment

This is an in-home caregiving position where care is provided one-on-one in private residences rather than in a facility. Caregivers travel between client homes as needed throughout the Idaho Falls community and surrounding areas.

Requirements

  • CNA certification preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Availability and flexibility to accept shifts on short notice

This role is ideal for caregivers who enjoy variety in their schedule and want to support clients when they need help the most.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
