What You'll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments for new clients and develop personalized exercise programs tailored to their individual needs and goals
  • Deliver engaging individual and group fitness training sessions using a holistic approach that includes cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility work
  • Monitor and track clients' physical progress, celebrating wins and adjusting programs as needed to ensure continued improvement
  • Modify exercise plans based on client feedback, potential injuries, health issues, or changing fitness levels
  • Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and ensure clients use fitness equipment safely and effectively
  • Educate clients on applicable safety rules, equipment usage, and best practices for injury prevention
  • Address nutrition and health-related questions, providing guidance within your scope of expertise
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained fitness center, including regular equipment maintenance and sanitation
  • Administer First Aid and CPR when needed
  • Maintain detailed client records and follow company guidelines for documentation and professional boundaries
  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive fitness environment that encourages all clients to succeed

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Current Personal Trainer certification from an accredited organization (required)
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (required)
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Personal Fitness Trainer or in a related fitness role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse clients
  • Strong knowledge of exercise science, diverse exercise techniques, and ability to adapt programs for different fitness levels and needs
  • Physical ability to demonstrate exercises, lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and maintain mobility including standing, bending, stooping, and walking
  • Valid driver's license
  • Professional references available upon request

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Science, or related field
  • Additional fitness certifications or specializations (e.g., nutrition coaching, yoga, Pilates)
  • Experience with fitness management software or tracking systems
  • Group fitness instruction experience

Physical Requirements
