The Production/Kitchen Associate I prepares edible cannabis batches for formation into finished products, including chocolate bars, drops, and other consumable items. This position is an entry-level position and responsible for rotating between a limited number of functional areas.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Follow the instructions given by the manager
  • Gather, arrange, and sort materials
  • Process materials into finished goods
  • Perform quality control checks and ensure uniformity
  • Package finished goods in store ready packaging
  • Label all items, SRPs, and batches accurately
  • Produces the required quantity of products within established timeframes and specifications
  • Maintain production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports
  • Compliant with company SOPs and state regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Follow applicable safety procedures by wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management
  • Behave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamwork
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience working in production, manufacturing, or food service preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent repetitive hand motion
  • Manual dexterity is needed for manipulating food items and tools.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, including hot and cold items.
  • Ability to push and pull.
  • Visual acuity is needed to accurately read small screens and labels.

Workplace Environment

  • Kitchen/production facility environment with environmental controls
  • Consistent moderate background noise level due to machinery and HVAC
  • Exposure to cannabis odor

Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.52

Insa is a multi-state employer, and this is the company-wide pay range. Offers will be provided in accordance with state-specific minimum wage guidelines.
