JOB DESCRIPTION


Position
: Food Service Worker - Baker/Production

Immediate Supervisor: General Manager


You will prepare all foods needed for service as directed by the menu and special event according to Metz & Associates recipes and direction according to time schedules for service periods. Your attendance when scheduled is extremely important.


Job Relations:


All foods either baked or menu production will be prepared in a timely manner that best enhances the quality, quantity and condition of the product insuring that it is highly garnished or packages at properly temperature at the time of service.


Cooperation with other production in the kitchen to insure space for holding, cooking and baking of your products.


Planning of production is imperative to insure all products are proofed properly and prepared in sufficient quantities for service needs.


Review menu and production sheets with cooks to coordinate baking times throughout the shift.


Because of our unique service needs, you may at times have to direct other personnel to complete service tasks.


Duties & Responsibilities


Pull all food items needed, for breakfast service, grab-n-go items, muffins, prepare bagels, danish, and breads for line service.


Assist Early Cook with set-up if needed.


Prepare by baking and/or cooking items needed for todays service and/or pre-prep for tomorrows needs.


Cut and dish up items needed for Sweet Treats section for lunch in sufficient quantities.


At the end of meal service, clean and maintain work area and inform the General Manager of special problems or concerns.


Before shifts end, ensure all items needed for next days service are on hand and are ready to be baked in proper quantities for ideal service needs.


All work areas must be maintained for cleanliness while working and special cleaning projects must be scheduled with your supervisor for down time periods.
