The Clean Energy Sales Consultant will engage in community outreach and contractor recruitment, support the origination of green loans, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the loan process. Responsibilities • Responsible for client and contractor relations, loan documentation, and loan closings • Collection of financial information and performance of loan pre-qualification assessment • Assist clients with product selection, prescreening contractors, fair pricing, project coordination, and loan processing • Build collaborative relationships with local contractors and government partners to accomplish program goals • Extensive community engagement with local government stakeholders and clients, public forums, community meetings, and social media • Build a local contractor network of home improvement companies—roofing, impact windows and doors, air conditioning, and solar, our EarthWise Certified Network • Work with Groundswell Capital’s Executive Team, Lending Team and Marketing Director on strategies to reach low- to moderate-income homeowners Skills • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, lending, program management or related role • Exceptional organization, detail orientation and follow through is necessary to track sales funnels and ensure all documents are gathered and submitted correctly • Comfort with public speaking and training • Ability to collaborate and communicate with a team while also being innovative and a self-starter • Highly competent using mobile technology and financial technology (fintech) as a daily working tool, ideally experience with Salesforce • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the region • Basic knowledge of home renovations, including AC, roofs, impact windows and doors, solar energy, and energy efficiency is desirable • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exemplary customer service and people skills • Bilingual in Spanish and English • Experience in the solar industry or trades is highly desirable • Experience working with nonprofits and low-to-moderate income communities preferred • Experience walking clients through loan closings • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain partnerships with developers, municipalities, and industry stakeholders • Excellent communication and presentation skills Company Overview • Groundswell Capital offers small businesses growth funding, grants, and wrap around support to create lasting change.
