As a Consulting Principal, you will lead complex consulting engagements, foster client relationships, and manage projects while ensuring high-quality client experiences in the nonprofit sector. Responsibilities • Provide exceptional leadership and foster a culture of high engagement, accountability, and client service • Participate in nurturing client relationships and strategies for generating new revenue and expanding the client portfolio in the nonprofit market • Serve as the lead consultant for large, complex engagements • Manage complex projects within established budgets and regularly monitor the success of the client experience, introducing appropriate interventions or activities to keep timeline, quality, and deliverables on track • Assess and advise on the design and administration of executive and employee compensation programs to achieve business goals and effectively manage the workforce • Oversee the analysis of executive and employee total compensation programs, including the evaluation of findings and development of recommendations • Support the development and effectiveness of team members • Bring subject matter expertise and experience with compensation consulting methodologies for executive and staff projects • Develop a deep knowledge of the nonprofit industry • Identify new opportunities to engage with clients, develop leads, write project proposals and statements of work • Contribute to all aspects of client engagements and are responsible for leading multiple compensation consulting projects • Synthesize complex data and information into actionable results and recommendations • Design, structure, and deliver reports, presentations, and other client deliverables • Participate in and contribute to the successful marketing and prospective activities to assist in growing our practice • Lead and participate in workflow and client delivery meetings with a spirit of collaboration • Lead special projects in pursuit of practice development and growth Skills • Have a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience • Twelve years or more of executive and staff compensation consulting experience • Passion serving organizations making the world a better place; past experience working with these clients is a plus • Proficient skills in problem-solving and critical thinking • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Foster an open and effective channel of communication with clients and across teams and provide constructive feedback that helps associates develop skills, experience, and growth opportunities • Effectively present facts, analysis, and conclusions/solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content, factors in perspectives, and interests of the audience.
