Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Field Service Technician to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within Kenya, while primarily supporting our esteemed clients in the Bungoma, Bungoma, KE region. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated network infrastructure and related hardware. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex hardware and software issues for network equipment, servers, and associated peripherals. Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Conduct preventative maintenance and system checks to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Provide technical support to end-users and clients, resolving issues efficiently and effectively via remote access tools and communication channels. Document all service activities, findings, and resolutions in the company's ticketing system. Collaborate with the engineering and support teams to escalate unresolved issues and contribute to knowledge base development. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Maintain accurate inventory of parts and equipment. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, Network Technician, or in a similar technical support role. Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and hardware. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware failures. Experience with remote troubleshooting tools and techniques. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are a plus. Willingness to travel occasionally if required for specific critical on-site interventions, though the role is primarily remote.
