Job Purpose

dnata Airport Operations’ vast ground handling operations successfully service the major global hub that is Dubai International Airport. We deliver a seamless experience from check-in to baggage delivery for more than 80 million passenger and 140 scheduled airlines annually.

Support the Airside Operations Resources and Facilities Department by managing and support three key areas: Facilities, devices, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Responsibilities include conducting facility audits, addressing and resolving complaints, coordinating the collection and delivery of devices between IT and end users, and facilitating the movement of GSE to and from to DTS for proactive maintenance (PM).

In this role you will:

  • Facilities Management
    Conduct regular audits of assigned facilities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management policies and procedures. Identify and address facility-related issues, escalating concerns to the supervisor as needed to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Device Management
    Coordinate the collection and delivery of devices between IT and end users to ensure operational readiness. Conduct basic inspections of devices to ensure functionality before deployment and reports defects to the relevant teams. Ensure timely servicing or replacement as needed while maintaining accurate records in relevant systems.
  • Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Support
    Facilitate the smooth movement of GSE and other equipment in line with operational needs, ensuring safe handling and transportation. Assists in resolving equipment-related complaints, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize operational disruptions. Coordinate to ensure all equipment is returned to operations promptly after servicing, supporting uninterrupted airside operations. Conduct base GSE audits (chocks, cones, CHAS, and chock trolleys) at aircraft parking stands, liaising with business units to ensure optimal upkeep. Support DTS on Airport Vehicle Permits (AVP) renewals.
  • Safety and Reporting
    Actively promote a culture of safety by discussing concerns openly and reporting them to supervisors.
    Report all equipment defects or operational challenges to the direct supervisor promptly to ensure timely resolution. Ensure compliance with safety guidelines while handling devices, GSE, and facility resources to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration and Coordination
    Work closely with the teams to ensure efficient use and availability of equipment and resources.
    Provide feedback on equipment performance and facility conditions to supervisors to support continuous improvement.
  • Store Management
    Assist in the day-to-day operations of the on-site store by maintaining an organized storage area, accurately tracking inventory, and promptly restocking essential supplies, all while adhering to safety and procedural standards.
Qualification

To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:

  • 10 years of schooling or equivalent
  • Exposure to Ramp and Airside Operations.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in Ground Support Equipment and on-job training
  • UAE Heavy Driving license
  • Basic Communication Skills
  • Basic Safety Awareness
