Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical leadership and a proven track record of guiding teams to transform mixed Radio Frequency (RF) signal software-defined prototypes into fully launched and supported products. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the development and maturation of RF signal software-defined prototypes focused on Non-Terrestrial Network SATCOM/5G/6G Technologies like those used with AST SpaceMobile LEO Satellites. • Oversee the entire technical product lifecycle, from initial concept through to product launch and ongoing support. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality. • Develop and implement technical strategies to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of RF systems. • Conduct thorough testing and validation of prototypes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in RF and SDR technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive product innovation. • Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders. • Implement Best Systems Engineering Design Processes and methods. • Complete Systems Engineering work products Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on RF and SDR technologies. • Proven experience in technical leadership and team management. • Strong understanding of RF signal processing, modulation techniques, and communication protocols. • Proficiency in evaluating and testing SDR and other radio platforms (e.g., GNU Radio, MATLAB, Simulink). • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with product development and lifecycle management. • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for RF systems. • Knowledge of agile development methodologies. • 5G Stack and NTN Expertise and experience.
