Primary Purpose of the Position:


  • Responsible for developing and implementing effective capability development interventions for Goodyear Trade and Institutional business unit in ASEAN region.

  • Define and lead implementation of strategic direction for trade sales function within ASEAN region in conjunction with efforts defined in trade marketing and category management across multiple channels.

  • This role involves assessing training needs, creating training modules and workshops, organizing training sessions, evaluating the effectiveness of training, and making necessary improvements across ASEAN region.

  • Partnering with the Asia-Pacific region in developing the Goodyear capability and training vision, strategy to achieve leadership position in the retail channel.

  • Acts as the key contact person and accountable for driving the capability programs and framework across ASEAN region for Trade and Key Account Sales teams.


Job Responsibilities:

  • DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING TRAINING PROGRAMS

    • Responsible for ensuring that the training interventions are consistent and designed post taking inputs form each affiliate across ASEAN operating in Trade. This may involve collaborating with affiliate Sales Directors, Trade Marketing, Commercial Excellence leads and other stakeholders to identify specific training needs and opportunities.

    • Based on affiliate business leaders’ requirement and ASEAN competency gaps need, work with consultants and experts to build interventions that will meet the organization needs and individuals’ aspirations resulting in best-in-class execution.

    • Analyze the training needs working with the Business and Commercial Excellence Leads of the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific regional leads, develop tools & conduct assessments, and recommend interventions that will meet the needs of the larger sales team.

    • Has the ability to analyze sales data and identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Able to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions to improve the sales performance of the team.

  • COACHING AND MENTORING SALES TEAM MEMBERS

    • ASEAN Capability and Training Manager has to standardize the approach to coaching across ASEAN and get every one practice to build a culture of coaching by embedding leadership behaviors to day-to-day conversations of the team

    • Provide framework and governance across region around on-the job coaching and assessment

  • TRACKING AND ANALYZING PERFORMANCE METRICS

    • Responsible for tracking the performance and implementation of learning by sales team across affiliate in PA with the support of rightly designed tools and trackers. This may include continuous engagement of TSDs and NSMs in PA affiliates.

    • Share regular report to Area Comex and ensure all information and operations are kept intact to drive effectiveness. Share periodic reports and training dashboards to affiliates to get them complete visibility of knowledge and skill development of their teams.

  • COLLABORATING AND TEAM MANAGEMENT

    • Capability and Training Manager works closely with other departments at ASEAN level, such as Marketing, Insights, Sales, Commercial Excellence, eCom, etc. to ensure that the sales team has the resources and support they need to be successful.

    • Help business leaders across affiliate in identifying capability development needs of team based on country specific ways of working & aspirations and laying out required strategies and action plans to support the identified training needs.

    • Work on high level interventions to build capability for trade field force within the budget and could deliver more for less. Should have complete understanding and monitor budget spends.

Job Requirements:

  • 10-12 years of Sales and Training experience in FMCG or similar from large markets

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver effective training programs for a diverse audience.

  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement in the allied industry.

  • Experience in managing and leading a team of trainers.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and management.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and sales team performance.

  • Willingness to travel within the ASEAN region as needed.

  • Fluency in English and at least one local language spoken in the Asia Pacific region
