About the position

DoorDash Drive is looking for you to join our team as a Senior Associate, Live Operations Parcel Strategy & Operations on our Logistics team. DoorDash Drive is our company's hyper-growth platform team serving restaurants, grocers and retailers across the United States, Canada and Australia. The business line you’ll be supporting is fast-growing, fast-paced, and is obsessed with efficiency. We are looking for someone to manage daily tactical site regional operations focused on our Live Operations, and a secondary focus on sortation or transportation considerations. About the Role The Senior Associate, Live Operations Parcel Strategy & Operation will own the day-to-day operations supporting the team that is our first line of support for our sortation and transportation network. They will work with both internal and external stakeholders to manage site operations and live escalations in direct partnership with our Regional and transportation leaders. This role reports directly to the Manager, LiveOps. We expect this role to be up to 20% travel, with primary focus on supporting a geographically separated and diverse LiveOps team in a remote capacity. Strategize: Design, build, and execute data based alerting to inform larger scale initiatives and where resources may need diverted live to improve quality outcomes. Delight customers: Work cross-functionally with central teams to ensure your team is prioritizing initiatives to ensure customers the best experience on each and every order and your team is equipped with the tools, resources and support needed to achieve these goals. Be Flexible: This isn’t your standard role, core hours may shift based on business needs and operational availability will provide opportunities to interface with central and ground teams across the network supporting 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the live, tactical operations of 60+ locations and associated transportation lanes across a national hub and spoke network, ensuring all site processes run smoothly, efficiently and safely across a heavily externalized partner network.
  • Design, build, and execute data based alerting to inform larger scale initiatives and where resources may need diverted live to improve quality outcomes.
  • Work cross-functionally with central teams to ensure your team is prioritizing initiatives to ensure customers the best experience on each and every order and your team is equipped with the tools, resources and support needed to achieve these goals.
  • Core hours may shift based on business needs and operational availability will provide opportunities to interface with central and ground teams across the network supporting 24/7 operations.

Requirements

  • You go high and you go low. You’re able to flex between live escalations and day-to-day operational details. You’re able to take insights from time spent on incident response and distill them into actionable and scalable initiatives and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the business.
  • You act like an owner. You take initiative to drive incremental improvement to the operation and manage the business as if it were your own.
  • You have 2-4+ years’ experience in on-the-ground warehousing or logistics, preferably in the 3PL space.
  • You have familiarity with SQL or data manipulation to draw conclusions.
  • If internal, you qualify for internal mobility guidelines.

  • You have experience scaling a successful start-up.
  • You have a demonstrated interest in logistics, on-demand services, and marketplaces.
