Our client is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our fully remote procurement team. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement process for goods and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives, building strong relationships with suppliers, and driving efficiency across the supply chain. This is a remote-first position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from any location.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing category strategies, identifying new sourcing opportunities, and conducting market analysis to understand supplier capabilities and market trends. You will be responsible for leading complex sourcing events, including RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Quotations), and evaluating supplier proposals to select the best value. Contract negotiation and management will be a significant part of your role, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that mitigate risk and align with company objectives. You will manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, and foster collaborative partnerships. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function will be essential. You will also ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide expert support is critical.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, MCIPS) are a significant advantage. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing is required, with demonstrated experience in managing complex categories and leading strategic sourcing initiatives. Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial modeling skills are essential. Excellent understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and risk management principles is required. Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are paramount, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong supplier relationships. This is a fully remote opportunity, requiring a high degree of autonomy, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a virtual team setting, utilizing advanced collaboration and communication tools.
