Our client is seeking a highly analytical and passionate Senior Sports Data Analyst to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This role involves leveraging advanced statistical techniques and data visualization tools to derive insights from sports performance data. You will work with various sports teams and organizations, providing data-driven recommendations to enhance player performance, game strategy, and talent identification. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of sports, strong quantitative skills, and experience in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sports-related sources (e.g., player tracking, game statistics, performance metrics). Develop and implement statistical models to identify trends, predict outcomes, and evaluate performance. Create compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate complex insights to coaches, athletes, and management. Collaborate with sports teams and stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical support. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards for real-time monitoring. Assist in the development of scouting and talent identification processes through data analysis. Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in sports analytics, data science, and relevant technologies. Contribute to the development of proprietary analytical tools and methodologies. Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process. Present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Sports Science, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the sports industry. Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages such as Python or R. Experience with database management (SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Deep understanding of various sports, their rules, and performance metrics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. Experience with machine learning techniques is a plus. Passion for sports and a keen eye for detail.
