<div style="text-align: center;"><strong>Hourly Tagger/Maintenance Worker<br>$16.90 - $17.90 per hour (DOQ)<br>(part-time, hourly, no benefits)</strong><br> </div>The City of Visalia is looking to hire an Hourly employee to assist in the Solid Waste/Graffiti Division.  Positions are limited to 1,000 hours per fiscal year and work approximately 25 hours per week.  Applicants must be able to work 3 days a week between the hours of 5:30 am and 2:00 pm.<ul type="disc"><li>Assemble and disassemble containers<li>Wash, repair and paint containers as needed<li>Assist on curbsides (deliveries and pickups)<li>Assist on oil spill clean ups<li>Tag containers on routes for contamination<li>Assist maintenance employees as needed<li>Perform general maintenance at the corporation yard, roadside and alleys<li>Assist with unscheduled trash pickups<li>Performing related duties as required<li>Patrols assigned areas for graffiti; investigates and resolves complaints regarding graffiti; contacts proper people to advise them of status of complaint<li>Uses paint brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to apply paint to surfaces<li>Maintains records of work performed<li>Work cooperatively with other users, employees, department managers, outside public and customers<li>Removes and/or paints over graffiti on private and public property; mixes paints to match existing color of surfaces; prepares surfaces for painting.</ul><ul><li>Valid California driver's license<li>Able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs<li>Previous maintenance experience preferred</ul><br>~Successful candidates will be required to pass a background investigation, physical examination and/or drug screen.~<br><br><br><br><strong style="color: inherit;font-style: normal;text-indent: 0.0px;"><u>Physical Standards:</u></strong> <br>Positions in this class require moderate to heavy, physical work with prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, and carrying loads weighing up to 50 pounds.
