The ideal candidate has strong customs entry knowledge, understands Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires excellent attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to take initiative while managing multiple priorities. Job Description Major duties and responsibilities include: • Prepare and file accurate U.S. Customs entries, including coordination of required documents and commercial information. • Manage clearances across a wide range of commodities, including PGA-regulated goods. • Assist with Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings such as FDA, USDA, EPA, and others (FDA experience is a major plus).

• Review import documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with CBP regulations. • Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, vendors, and government agencies. • Monitor shipment statuses and proactively resolve clearance delays or compliance issues. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, classification requirements, and entry processes. • Work efficiently under pressure and tight timelines, demonstrating strong urgency and initiative. • Support internal operations and contribute to continuous improvement of brokerage processes.

Qualifications Required

Qualifications: • 1–3+ years of experience in U.S. Customs brokerage or import operations (Required). • Experience preparing and filing CBP entries in ACE. • Understanding of HTS classification, valuation, duty calculations, and entry types. • Strong knowledge of import compliance and customs documentation. • Ability to work well under pressure with strong time-management skills. • Takes initiative, solves problems independently, and stays ahead of deadlines. • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks at once. • Proficiency with bolthires Office and brokerage/entry software. Preferred

Qualifications: • Experience with PGA-regulated imports - FDA experience is a significant plus Skills: • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with clients, customs authorities, and other stakeholders. • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset. • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
