Background

Welcome to Section Gravitas. We are a digital creative company, and we believe in digital—a lot. We are often engaged by brands that depend on digital channels to speak / listen to their target audiences. The ways in which we create storytelling channels for clients are not restricted by guidelines but rather, empowered by our beliefs and research. We welcome you if you believe in creativity, technology, and scalability. We are after people who are most talented when they are passionate and driven.

We are not a big company, but we have big dreams. We're a tight-knit crew fighting to make our mark, and we know there are no shortcuts. The only path to where we want to go is through hard work, focus, and a whole lot of heart. We're building this from scratch, and every single person on the team is critical to our success.

The Right Fit for Our Team

Skills can be taught, but attitude is everything. We need someone who gets our culture and is ready to live it every day. Here’s who we’re looking for:

You're a Team Player, Period. We win and lose as one. You’re ready to roll up your sleeves and help a teammate without being asked. There are no silos here.

You Have Grit. When you hit a wall, you don't give up. You get resourceful, you figure it out, and you find a way through. We need problem-solvers, not just task-doers.

You Ask Questions. There are no stupid questions here, only the ones you were too afraid to ask. If you don't know, you ask. If you're unsure, you clarify. We value honesty and learning over pretending.

You Live by "If Cannot Also, Must Can." This is our unofficial motto. It's the mindset that no challenge is too big and "no" is not the final answer. It’s about perseverance and an absolute refusal to fail.

You're Ready for the Grind. We need to be crystal clear: this is not a cruise. The only way we achieve our big dreams is with sweat, blood, and tears. We are looking for people who want to be in the trenches with us, building something amazing. This is an all-or-nothing mission. Either you're in, or you're not.

The Role

You will be an important part of a growing experience design team, which deals with large-scale sitebuilds in the banking and hospitality industries, for both established MNCs and fast-rising startups. Beyond crafting words, phrases and sentences, a UX/UI writer on our team is also expected to immerse fully into the research, conceptualisation and iteration process of building digital experiences for a wide variety of users.

As a UX writer, your day-to-day tasks may include working with the team to break large amounts of content into different parts of the user journey, planning out information hierarchy on a website, creating seamless communications as users navigate from page to page, or simply providing a clever turn of phrase to turn a complex situation into something simple, understandable and actionable on a digital space.

Most importantly, you will need to empathise with the (sometimes) duelling perspectives of both consumer and business objectives, applying a high level of critical thinking to create copy that marries the two.

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of a team to create meaningful digital experiences that achieve business objectives

Writing useful and meaningful copy for websites, consistent with the brand voice

Supporting a UX researcher in unpacking consumer insights, iterating on content in a data-driven process

Working alongside UI designers to ensure content, layout and design come together seamlessly

Job Requirements

At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in either UX or copywriting OR relevant educational qualifications

Expert command of the English language with excellent grammar skills

Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for details

Ability to work and behave professionally in a fast-paced team environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Possesses strong interpersonal skills

Proactive in driving self-learning and skills improvement through training and keeping abreast of industry changes

An innate curiosity and desire to make an impact on the world

If you think we are a match, apply with us now!
